Icons That Weep

Alrihkh What a wonderfully delightful album! Different Light excel in producing very listenable melodic prog rock. Sven’s closing statement is very true. The emotional surge of some songs swept my heart away with them. Too, I found myself at times thinking the songs very suitable for Geddy Lee’s voice. Just an observation. This album is one of my most treasured & I’m very happy to have found it. Different Light are fantastic songsmiths! My thanks to the band. Don’t miss out! 8.5+/10. Favorite track: A Creature Of Habit.

Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) Although I'm currently so much hooked on "Binary Suns" that I find it hard to listen to something else, I decided to give "Icons That Weep" a try now. I've purchased it in a promotional triple pack with "Binary Suns" and "All About Yourself", and I'm glad I did. The songwriting quality provided by Trevor Tabone and Hynek Kocourek is convincing, and admittedly I really enjoy the AOR sound they're injecting into their individual variant of neo-prog. This is prog for the heart, not for the brain. Favorite track: A Creature Of Habit.
