Alrihkh IMO, reminiscent of Knight Area and Galahad. All song structures are well-developed, interesting, and admirably orchestrated. Lyrics are thoughtful and instruments complement each other. Good diversity of expressions. Melodically pleasing music. The band have a very good sense of creativity, presentation, harmony, emotion, and composition. This is a very solid first offering & aptly rewards a dedicated listen. Fine neo-prog. 7.5+/10. Favorite track: Burning Memories.

Sven B. Schreiber This is "Different Light's" debut album, issued in 1996, when the band was still residing in Malta. Contrary to many others' debut efforts, this release doesn't sound like an early snapshot of a band trying hard to find its own way, with all the usual pitfalls and dead-end streets. Instead, this album sounds very homogenous and surprisingly well developed. It reflects pretty much the zeitgeist of 90's neo-prog, as put forth by top exponents like "IQ" and "Pendragon" at that time. Favorite track: Victim's Eye View.

Although the 3 guest vocalists on this album sing wonderfully, and the songs are diverse and creative, I still prefer the voice of Peter Falconer. Still, I highly recommend this album, aware that my preference is somewhat of a bias. Some of the guitar playing on here is incredible. Despite the new vocalists, the sound of this album is still distinctly Drifting Sun. Personally, I give it 7.5/10. Alrihkh

There are songs on here that just honestly take my breath away—they’re such beautiful, dramatic expressions. Remedy is one of them. It can own your heart. It’s very powerful. If not for Summer Skies, it’d be my fave. Peter’s voice is great! All elements of this music are superbly performed. This is the 1st Drifting Sun album I ever heard & my fave. It’s a melodic prog masterpiece, but don’t take my word for it. Take it for a spin & find out for yourself how vibrant it is. 9+/10. Alrihkh
